The mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil Jódar, organized a meeting with the new dean of the Official College of Architects in the Murcia region, Arturo García, to address pressing issues, as well as the overall situation in which our municipality finds itself with respect to compliance with the general urban plan. We are extending our hand to Workther and coordinating, but with the neighbors’ outrage at not seeing progress in the construction of the dams and the Biznaga canal.»

In this regard, Gil Jódar indicated that «we are evaluating the administrative simplification decree approved by the autonomous community and its application in our municipality, to adapt our procedures to these regulations and provide a more efficient response to residents wishing to build in the city center, historic areas, or outskirts. It encourages urban development in an orderly manner.»
The mayor also mentioned exploring the possibility of reaching an agreement to intensify collaboration between the university and the city of Lorca, to expedite administrative procedures in accordance with this administrative simplification decree. «We have proposed to the School of Architects to send a project agreement for analysis and see how this collaboration can be shaped, always aiming to streamline procedures, reduce hours, and facilitate housing construction throughout our municipality.»
Finally, Fulgencio Gil wanted to thank the Official College of Architects in the Murcia region for their professional work and commitment to urban and social development throughout the region, especially in our municipalities, emphasizing that «we reiterate our total willingness to continue with this institution in all these initiatives, improving in all these initiatives and in all these initiatives.»
