The sports advisor Antonio Martínez, together with the president of Arabí Yecla Triathlon Club, Jesús Muñoz, presented The final of the regional Duathlon school that was challenged on March 29th at «Juan Palao Azorín» and the surrounding areas of the southern roundabout, organized by the General Sports Directorate in Carm, the Local Council of Yecla through the Municipal Sports Service, and the Triathlon Federation in the Region of Murcia.
The sports advisor explained that there will be Around 250 participants from 15 municipalities in the Murcia region divided into 4 categories: Cadet, Child, Fry, and Benjamin, both male and female. From the Yecla Educational Centers, there will be 36 participants. The age of the competitors will range from 9 to 16 years old.
At 10:00 a.m., the first start will be given, for the children’s and male cadet category. At 10:45 a.m., cadet for children and women. At 11:30 a.m., the fry male and female, and the Benjamin test, male and female. Around 12:30 p.m., the trophy presentation will take place.
The President of the Triathlon Club thanked all the entities and collaborators involved in this event «which represents A great opportunity to promote this sport among schools in the Murcia region. It also allows students from our club school to compete in Yecla again.» He recalled that there will be two classifications, one for federated athletes and the other for non-federated athletes, as well as a team classification.
The sports advisor requested Collaboration from pedestrians and drivers to follow the signaling and instructions of volunteers in those areas of the southern roundabout, where the bike test will take place. More specifically:
- The roundabout guide will be open to traffic, and the roundabout on Calle San Fernando will have an outer lane for traffic.
- The landfill road and the Cirunvalacia bridge will remain closed, and an alternative route will be established through Cerunvalacia and Camino de Los Quiñon.
- The entrance and exit of car parking will remain closed during the test program.
- To access the pool-cemetery-petanque-petanque-petanque-petanque bioclimatic areas of Petanca-Pabelllón Chumilla, it will be on Avenida San Pablo and Avenida Abad José Sola.
- To access vehicles to the pool parking lot, the roundabout gate will be activated as an entrance and exit, so caution must be taken.
