The Minister of Culture, Daniel Jiménez, along with the Tourism Councilor, Isabel Pérez, and the President of the true Cabildo Superior of the passionate brotherhood of Yecla, José Manuel Martí, presented the activities scheduled in the cultural post and the music cycle in the slow 2025.
Daniel Jiménez recalled that «the Post has become one of the references in Yecla’s cultural calendar. On the other hand, the Culture Councilor mentioned that several events were organized from his department. Next Saturday, March 8, the traditional Preaching of the Seven Words at the Chapel of Virgen de Lasgustias, will be accompanied by a performance by José Miguel Azorín (clarinet) and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (piano).
The Concha Segura Theatre will organize three sessions of Bands and Drum Bands and the Musical Group Festival on March 16, 23, and 30. On March 23, after receiving advice from the local council, the Proclamation of Holy Week will be led by Zulay Patiño, sister of the small sisters of the announcement. Pascaal from March 30 will feature the voices of the Hecta choir. On April 3, an Auto Sacramental at the Chapel of Virgen de Lasgustias led by the Christ of the Good Death from Alcantarilla, and on April 4, a Recital of Saetas in collaboration with the Flamenco Peña de Yecla at the parish of El Niño Jesús.
The President of Cabil, José Manuel Martí, explained that the Yecla Municipal Council provided the resources, where about twenty steps were placed, for the rehabilitation works of the old church, hoping to open the old Museum of Holy Week at the Church of San Francisco. It is precisely on March 15 that the project will be presented, expecting to open in early September.
On Sunday, March 9 at 12:00, at the municipal auditorium «Juan Miguel Benedo,» the Presentation of the CRAINIC poster by Francisco Rovira Yagüe, the Program of Holy Week and the designation as Nazarena of the year by Dolores Marco Varela will take place.
It was reported that during the work, there will be almost 50 worship events, emphasizing the four anniversaries taking place this year. The image of the Great Friday Pain celebrates its 75th anniversary. The image of Christ commemorates 80 years since its anniversary. The Hermandad del Otoño celebrates 90 years, and the image The Most Holy Christ of Peace of the Silent Procession celebrates 75 years. This image, related to the Municipal Council, will be transferred and will remain in the same house as it did 50 years ago. There will also be a procession and a set of extraordinary events for this occasion.
Finally, the President of the Cabildo called on the entire brotherhood «to go out, dress in robes, accompany the main figures of our brotherhood, and let the streets bear witness to this commemoration of the death and resurrection of our Lord, as our ancestors passed down to us.»
