The Lorca government and the Organization of Spain for Youth (OJE) are finalizing the preparations to carry out a new edition of «Gymkana Oje Lorca 2025,» an activity that will take place on Saturday, February 16th. Its goal is to bring together hundreds of young people from the city to explore their surroundings, appreciate the cultural heritage, and develop teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving in an urban setting.
The talented young mayor of Lorca, Antonio David Sánchez, who presented this activity with the Oje Lorca president Hargar El Cejo, Alfonso José Rodríguez, explained that the event will start at 10:00 am at Plaza de España. Those who register will receive instructions before the competition begins at 10:30. The young talent advisor wanted to encourage all young people from Lorca to participate in this initiative, emphasizing that «from the Lorca government, we greatly appreciate these kinds of activities that combine fun, culture, and learning. We want the young people of Lorca to feel part of their history and culture, and what better way to do it than through gaming and teamwork, so Gymkana Oje is a great opportunity to discover the rich historical heritage we have, to make new friends, and enjoy a playful morning.»
Furthermore, Sánchez Alcaraz highlighted the great work done by the Spanish youth organization in Lorca to promote activities that foster personal development, management, environmental commitment, and cooperation among young people. «Lorca’s Eye has organized initiatives that not only offer entertainment but also strengthen core values such as companionship, respect, and love for our city and natural surroundings,» he said.
