López Miras highlights «The enormous pride of sharing every day the excitement and effort of those who make us better each year»

The president of the community, Fernando López Miras, highlighted today the Day of the Region of Murcia, during the Institutional Ceremony that takes place every June 9 to commemorate the approval of the autonomy status in 1982, «the enormous pride to share every day and the effort to make us better each year».
«One million six hundred thousand men and women, young and old; the birth or choice that makes us face new challenges and be absolutely convinced to offer a better future to future generations,» he added.
López Miras pointed out that it was written 43 years ago when the history of the region of Murcia began to be written. Therefore, during his speech, he said that «it is necessary to claim serenity and temperament that have always been holy and the sign of our people.» In this sense, he called for «moderation, wisdom, and dialogue to reach agreements» and requested adequate regional funds «to participate in those who need it most, to continue relying on the best services in the fields of health, education, or social policies.»
He also referred to the Tajo-Segura transfer and stated that «much of who we are today, our power, our enormous potential is based on the work of many people who have opened new ways, innovation, progress, creation, taking the name of the region of Murcia everywhere. All that would have been impossible.» The President of Maxim Region assured that the region of Murcia «becomes a great diversity, in talent, in support of those who need more» and «is a supportive land, a leader in sports or social economy, with a primary sector based on quality, export, and also job creation.» He also mentioned the 45 municipalities of the region, «proud to welcome visitors to show them how to combine tradition and innovation.»
On the 43rd anniversary of the approval of the statute, the President stated that «today is a celebration, defending what unites us, what makes us proud to have been born in a land that we share with people and entities like those who have received today’s affection.»
Different delivery medals and service medals
As every year, the Ceremony ended with the awarding of the gold medals of the region of Murcia and the diplomas of different services to different personalities and entities of the region who have excelled in their careers in different fields such as business, sports, and politics.
Therefore, the gold medals of the community fell to José Manuel Garrido Guzmán, the Cartagena Music Conservatory, celebrating its centenary; José Antonio Hernández Navarro, the Athletics Federation in the region of Murcia; Association for the treatment of people with cerebral palsy and related pathologies of Murcia (Astrapace), the Official College of Technical Industrial Engineers in the Region of Murcia (Contirm) and the Official College of Industrial Engineers in the Region of Murcia (COIM), commemorating 175 years since the anniversary of Industrial Engineering in Spain; Faculties of biology, mathematics, and speech therapy and psychology; Encarna piñero; Eagle Patrol; Jaime Lamo de Espinosa and Michels de Champourcin; and Gitano people.
In addition, the Association of Children with Cancer in the region of Murcia (Acacmur), the journalist Carlos del Amor, the doctor and researcher Encarna Guillén, and the jurist Antonio Sempere received.
