López Miras, during the shootout in the Spanish Cup that welcomes Murcia in March: «Indoor soccer is already part of the region’s DNA»
In the quarter-finals, Elpozo Murcia will face Palma Futsal and Jimbee Cartagena will face Peñíscola
The president of the community highlights the fact that «talking about the region of Murcia means talking about futsal» and affirms that «we have everything ready» to organize this competition.

The president of the government of the region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, emphasized today, during the shootout, which took place at the Palacio de San Esteban, that «it is impossible to think about Spanish Chamber soccer without thinking about the Region of Murcia. This sport is already part of our identity and our DNA.» The tournament is taking place again in the region after the 2024 edition in Cartagena and will specifically take place between March 20 and 23 at the Murcia Sports Palace.
«We can say that indoor soccer is the King Sport in the region of Murcia, it has already contributed to the great pastimes and great teams we have,» said the head of the regional executive, who referred to the prominence of Elpozo Murcia and Jimbee Cartagena, as well as the women’s hall of Roldán and Fundsal Alcantarilla.
The panel has established that the quarter-finals are Elpozo Murcia Costa Cálida-Blades Balears Palma Futsal; Movistar Inter-Jaén Paradise Inner; Industrias Santa Coloma-FC Barcelona and Jimbee Cartagena Costa Cálida-Servigroup Peñíscola. The matches will be played between Thursday 20 and Friday 21, and the winners will face off in the semifinals on Saturday 22. The final will be played on Sunday 23.
«Talking about the region of Murcia is talking about live soccer,» said the president, who recalled that «we are already preparing other important competitions of this sport that will take place in the region. We have everything ready to give our best and we will not disappoint.»
If López Miras was accompanied by the president of the Murcia Football Federation and the president of the National Football Committee of the Royal Football Federation, José Miguel Monje Carrillo, as well as representatives of the eight teams participating in the competition.
This will be the XXXVI edition of the Spanish Soccer Cup, which will return to the region of Murcia after the 2024 event in Cartagena. The last time this tournament took place at the Murcia Sports Palace was in 2001.
In addition to the Spanish Cup, there are the holidays in the region of the Spanish Super Cup, which was played in Cartagena in January and three other major competitions of this sport in the following months: the Spanish Cup, from April 9 to 13, in Murcia; the Queen’s Cup of women’s soccer, between May 2 and 4, in Cartagena and the King’s Cup, on May 17 and 18, also in Cartagena.
These five major sporting events provide continuity to other relevant futsal events in the region, such as the international matches of the men’s absolute teams, against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cartagena and the women’s team, against Italy in San Pedro del Pinatar and Torre Pacheco.
