At the correct institution in Lorca (IFE), preparations have already been completed to organize this weekend, February 8 and 9, the third edition of Lorca’s Manga and Japanese Culture, an event that has established itself as one of the most important in the Murcia region. This was announced on Friday by Lorca’s young talent advisor, Antonio David Sánchez, who oversaw this morning’s Facilitation Assembly, accompanied by the Coordinator of the Mercia Association, Juan Álvarez, to ensure that everything is ready for this weekend.
«Japanese manga and culture continue to grow edition after edition, and this year we have opted for an expansion of spaces to enhance the participants’ experience and ensure greater comfort,» said the Young Talent mayor. In this regard, he emphasized that the event will have activities in the main Ifeilor pavilion and its annex, «which will better distribute the content and offer a more diverse and comprehensive program.»
The third Lorca Manga and Japanese Culture expects over 12,000 visitors, solidifying its position as a reference event and positioning the city as a leader in manga, anime, and related subcultures. «Lorca Rows is much more than just a leisure event; it is an important cultural and tourist attraction that helps stimulate the local economy by promoting commercial offerings, hospitality, and leisure in our city while fostering the exchange of experiences and creativity among young people,» said Sánchez.
The young talent advisor explained that this year’s program will feature over a hundred activities focused on manga, anime, video games, movies, series, cosplay, k-pop, collecting, and illustration, among others. Over the weekend, participants can enjoy concerts, competitions, video games, workshops, discussions, exhibitions, K-Pop activities, live art, board games, virtual reality areas, and the presence of famous cosplayers and artists such as Lesciel, Gabriel Ibáñez, Anna Aerien, Kheene, Leviathan GX, Sergio Liébana, Ruki_kat, Nathan, Mitsuko, and Mery Katrina, among others.
He detailed the new event layout, which will include two stages, over 20 video game booths, workshop classrooms, exhibition area, Meet & Greet space, live art, mini4WD track, alleys, crafts and market stalls, a large gastronomic area for over 200 people, and institutional spaces.
Finally, Antonio David Sánchez encouraged all Lorca residents and visitors to participate in this third edition of «Lorca Rowing» this weekend and emphasized the «commitment of the Fulgencio Gil government team, offering leisure initiatives that combine fun, culture, and learning in an intergenerational environment suitable for all audiences.»
Tickets can be purchased online through the official website and at physical sales points at Más Que Comics (Lorca), M13 (Lorca), 7 Heroes (Murcia), Yakata (Murcia), Alcaraz Librería Alcaraz (Cartagena), Nivel 1 (Águilas), and Shinobi (Alcantarilla). The price is 9.50 euros for Saturday, 8.50 euros for Sunday (including a gift), and 15 euros for a pass for both days with a gift included.
