On May 19, 2025, Sutulna COSO will organize a commemorative gala on Saturday 145, for the 55th anniversary of the Black Wolf Scout Band, belonging to the Lorca City of the Sun explorer, where hundreds of people from all generations who have participated in this section will gather from its foundation in 1969.
This was announced on Monday by the Youth Talent councilor of the city of Lorca, Antonio David Sánchez, who explained that the event will present a program of activities that will include the premiere of the first audiovisual documentaries about the history of the Black Wolf band, which spans over half a century of experiences through interviews with all its members.
In addition, the awards ceremony, the most significant in the group’s history, which has not been awarded for over a decade, will be given to entities and individuals who support the development of scouting in Lorca. The winners include: He Giant Initiatives Foundation, Jewelry Manzarares, commercial and graphic arts Ramón Solo, and the Department of Young Talents.
Antonio David Sánchez, in this sense, emphasized that «the Black Wolf Band is an example of these fifty years of commitment, education, and teamwork. By receiving this distinction in the Scout City Group, not only proud, of the Lorca government, we will continue to support the projects developed by the social group.»
The event will also include an intergenerational recognition, with the participation of former educators, founding members, explorers from all times, and families who have been part of the group in these 55 years. In addition, the members of this section will perform a scene on the Sututlana COSO stage, which will recall the Scout spirit that guided the Black Wolf Band for five and a half decades.
Finally, from the Black Wolf group in the City of the Sun Scout group, they emphasized that «the purpose of this event is to pay tribute to all the people who made it possible for scouting to remain alive in the Lorca generation.
