In the last edition, the delegation from Lorquina stood out, proclaiming the overall classification of teams from municipalities with less than 100,000 inhabitants and ranking sixth in the absolute general.
Lorca, April 21, 2025. The Councilor for Citizen Security of the Lorca Municipal Council, Juan Miguel Bayonas, announced the participation of the Local Police of Lorca in the 31st edition of the National Local Police Championship «Alcazaba», which will take place, starting tomorrow until April 26, in Granada.
The local police of Lorca will participate for the nineteenth consecutive year, alongside local police teams from all over Spain, in this prestigious championship, considered the most important in the country’s police force and featuring five sports: football 7, cross, mountain biking, paddle, and police.
The Lorquino team, leaving tomorrow, will be composed of 15 agents, who will compete in the football 7 mode. Additionally, two of them in Cross, two in Mountain Bike, two in Paddlers, and two in police shooting. The competition will have individual and general classifications according to the modality, as well as an absolute classification that will aggregate the results of all tests.
The same data will take place in the «National Canine Guidelines Championship», which will reach its fourth edition and in which the local police will participate with Juan José García and Canid Ron, who will surely demonstrate their good work and connection in our city.
The sporting event, organized by the Cultural and Sports Association of the Local Police in Granada Alcazaba, will take place in various locations, including the facilities of the Mobility and Citizen Protection Department, Llanoo Llano Park, and the Armilla Air Base, where the Canine tests will be held.
«Once again, Lorca Lorca Locă aspires to repeat the successes of previous years, demonstrating not only the high competitive level of its agents, but also their excellent physical and mental training, crucial to ensure quality service in their daily activity in the LORCA sports,» recalled Juan Miguel Bayonas, who highlighted the local year «among agents from all over the country in a context of training and sportsmanship».
The program will also include cultural activities and leisure meetings organized by the Alcazaba Association, with the aim of allowing participants and visitors to enjoy the city’s heritage and tourist offerings.
