Curso gratuito de tiempo libre para jóvenes mayores de 17 años.

The youth councilor, Isabel Pérez, presented the so-called Leisure and Free Time Course for those over 17 years old that will take place between March 7 and June 1.

The course is free and is certified and subsidized by the General Directorate of Youth in the Region of Murcia. «It is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the activity of a leisure and free time monitor, both in childhood, youth, and the adult world,» explained the councilor.

Through this basic training course, whose objective is to train people to carry out sociocultural and recreational activities, young people will learn to design and plan leisure and free time activities, adapted to the needs and interests of each group, manage an energized group, promote teamwork and coexistence, foster social relationships, and apply safety and prevention measures in activities, both in urban and natural settings.

It also provides the necessary tools to develop a professional career in leisure and leisure sector in addition to being one of the first opportunities to enter the world of work.

The course will be developed in two phases with a Total of 250 hours. The first theoretical stage will last 160 hours of teaching on all weekends from March 7 to June 1, 2025, (except for the weekend of April 18, 19, and 20, and the weekends of May 2, 3, and 4, 16, 17, and 18).

Sessions will be on Friday (from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the headquarters of the Leisure and Free Time School (Avda. Pablo Picasso, PLZA. 8 de marzo) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The second stage Practice with a duration of 90 hours can be carried out in an organized activity such as a camp, holiday school, association, or institution.

Registrations are free, with a maximum of 30 places available and are open until March 2. Interested individuals must be a minimum of 17 years old at the start of the course and have a minimum and mandatory academic qualification of a high school graduate, compulsory secondary education graduate, or its academic equivalent. They can register on the Young Space website, through the municipal website of Young Space, or directly at the offices of Young Space in the bioclimatic building.

If the number of registrations exceeds 30 places, a selection will be made based on criteria such as association or affiliation to associations or youth entities that provide services to Young Yecla, being volunteers with social purposes in Yecla or registered in the youth system guarantee, among others.
