On February 11, 2025, Inmaculación del Lorquina journalist Jiménez will be the preacher of the Holy Week of Lorca 2025. This was announced by the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil Jódar, after the traditional meeting with the Holy Week presidents, where, at the proposal of Pase Blanco, his appointment was unanimously supported for the adaptation and close connection with our city and its traditions.
Fulgencio Gil emphasized that «Jiménez Immacul is an example of how the roots of our city and the love for our Holy Week can transcend any distance. His choice of preacher is a well-deserved recognition of his professional and personal career, as well as his passion, for his commitment and his constant work to spread the culture and traditions of Lorca.»
And he added that «he not only praises the Holy Week wherever he goes, but he managed to convey it with respect and passion for his daughters, in his professional environment and offer his white and Lorquino accent in every step. Born in 1974 in the neighborhood of La Virgen de Las Huertas, Jiménez Immaculate has always maintained a deep connection with Lorca and its Holy Week, despite residing in Madrid.
With a degree from IADA Madrid, Post-grad at Central Saint Martins in London and the University of Bologna, he began his professional career as a colleague at Elle magazine in 2001. In 2012, he was appointed creative director and fashion director of this magazine, which has achieved different international milestones highlighting the Elle Cancer Ball initiative, a charitable organization that combines fashion and commitment and whose collection is entirely assigned to cancer research.
In 2019, he was appointed Editorial Director in Spain at Harper’s Bazaar, the world’s first fashion magazine with over 158 years of history and 30 international editions. In this way, Immaculate took over to lead the magazine and elevate it to its current position. In 2021, he was appointed creative director of the Hearst Group, the editorial leadership of our country with brands like Elle, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, New Style, Cuadros or Health for Men, among others, since it was combined with the direction of Harper’s Bazaar.

The mayor also recalled that the proclamation of Holy Week 2025 will take place on Friday, March 28, advancing a week in other years. «We want this emblematic act to have the greatest possible assistance, allowing more people to enjoy it,» and concluded by inviting Lorquinos and visitors to participate in the proclamation, which will be «the beginning of a Holy Week that, one more year, this will show the world our passion and tradition through the immaculate vision of Jiménez, a preacher who embodies the spirit of his excellence.»
