Around 1,300 children between 0 and 3 years old will benefit from the «nursery voucher» from the Ministry of Social Policy, Families, and Equality, a call for help to promote reconciliation and provide financial support to families who enroll their children in childcare centers and points of childhood care in the region (horses and straws).
The call has already been published in the official newspaper of the region of Mercia
and interested families can submit their applications until May 28, as reported by the Minister of Social Policy, Families, and Equality, Conchita Ruiz, during her visit to the Empi Early Childhood Center in Murcia, accompanied by the councilor for social care, family, and health of the Municipal Council, Pilar Torres.
Ruiz explained that «these scholarships will subsidize all those families who have to balance their work and personal life and whose children are enrolled in 44 childcare centers in the region, with a budget of 1.3 million euros.»
The amount of the «nursery voucher» will be up to 1,000 euros per child under one year old and will cover registration, care, food costs, uniform costs, as well as costs derived from individual materials requested by the children for the development of educational and leisure activities carried out in the centers.
The call also states that applications can be submitted to the General Registry of the autonomous community, with the official form available on the electronic platform and must be accompanied by the CAI or PAI certificate proving that the child is enrolled in the mentioned center and participates regularly.
The councilor emphasized that «the recognized centers in this call provide a wide range of educational offerings and care for children during school and non-school periods, to provide educational support and specialized care at a crucial stage in the evolutionary development of children.»
In the case of Empi, it is a center where around 140 children pass through its classrooms, with an educational proposal for ages 0 to 6, where curiosity, creativity, and autonomy of the children thrive. It also has a training line for professionals who want to learn about the educational philosophy and pedagogical practices of the center, as well as a space called «cicubic,» where worn materials are repurposed to become an essential part of the educational environment.
For its construction in 2009, Empi had funding of 500,000 euros from the community.
