Participación del Consejo Municipal de Yecla en reunión de monitoreo de proyectos europeos de Newsmart en Napoli

The city of Yecla is participating in the monitoring meeting, along with Cetem and Amuebla, of the European Employability Project of Newecosmart, which takes place on January 28 and 29 in Napoli. To this end, the Minister of Economic Development, Isabel Pérez, and the director of the local development agency, Martínez, have moved to the Italian city.

The consortium is once again meeting, this time at the University of Naples, to share the results of the pilot programs taking place, one of which is in our city.

The goal of the European project Newcosmart is to create an inclusive social innovation approach to enhance the skills of adults aged 45 and over in rural areas, helping them adapt to ecological and digital transitions in their current jobs or find new opportunities in the habitat sectors. This initiative also promotes social entrepreneurship skills and mindsets that support the adoption of circular and socially responsible models.

The city of Yecla, in collaboration with Ambebla and Cetem, has started the pilot program of the Newcosmart project with a group of young people aged 18 to 25, who are currently studying an upholstery training program. During the initial sessions, participants were able to learn and start using two of the tools developed within the project: MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and the microgaging mobile application.
