The northern part of the municipality is more affected by road and Ramblas collapses because it continued to rain last night, complicating the tasks of municipal operators. Most of the rescues were carried out here, all successfully.
Work is being done, among other things, on the road that connects the castle with the pillars to ensure passage to the north; on Caravaca Road, which is still non-functional; the entrance road to Avili and the parish has been restored; and work is being carried out at different minor enclaves, although we continue to diagnose the situation on the spot; as well as the section under the southern round bridge, pumped in record time.
From the urban planning area, a campaign was launched to review facades, mainly focused on the historic center. Similarly, from the heritage area, technical services have been activated to review and assess all municipal properties, from where public services are offered, all to avoid possible risks to citizens and return to normalcy as soon as possible. Several educational centers have been affected and are being worked on.
The local police received 70 reports yesterday, many of them in the Peñica and Caravaca Road area, all of which were addressed. «We are particularly concerned about city access service. Regarding potential road closures, alternate routes were established, reversing the meaning of the streets, all properly marked.
However, channels continue to be inspected and anticipating significant collapses, such as Marchena, Hinojar, or Aguaderas, where cleaning works are also being carried out; Campillo, which continues to have highly flooded areas… in general, conducting a review and working on the spot, with technicians, officials, brigades, and all machinery in progress.
Regarding water conditions, water purification service is being provided in Ramonets, the potable water truck to supply the population has been relocated today from the medical office at Calnegre Tips hostel; and we expect the analytical results of the almond water to be resolved in about 24 hours. There are five houses that still do not have additional lodging, which we are trying to resolve as soon as possible.
As for the limos, all services are fully active and operating without any significant incidents.
Regarding the electrical service, there are no weather-related conditions, and only in the bell and some adjacent districts is there no sign of television, which we hope can be restored shortly. Although, concerning parks and gardens, the rain has been beneficial, beyond some branch falls or mud.
It should also be mentioned that the river reached 128 cubic meters per second yesterday, with a stage of 133 meters at 6:00 pm and a water level of 86 centimeters. The heaviest rains occurred in the urban area, with 124 liters per square meter in 48 hours.
