The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, alongside the President of the sports entity, Francisco Montes, and the President of APAT, Eva Guerrero, unveiled the #5Senses project with the aim of surpassing 20,000 euros through the sale of the Running Club, sponsorships, and solidarity actions.
Lorca, February 19, 2025. The Lorca Early Care Parents Association (APAT) is the new beneficiary of the solidarity initiative by the #retoyoso Sports Club until 2025.
This announcement was made this morning by the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil Jódar, together with the President of the sports entity, Francisco Montes, and the President of the Early Care Parents Association in Lorca, APAT, Eva Guerrero. She explained that all proceeds will be used to fund a psycho-community and sensory stimulation class, a space designed to promote the motor development, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children through movement and play.
To reach the budget of 20,376 euros in the #5Senses project, the members of the #retoysipudo team will sell, at a symbolic price of one euro, the kilometers they have traveled in various sports events organized during this year.
In addition, they will carry out different solidarity actions, such as selling bracelets, tubular necklaces, and drums for athletes for two euros each, or the complete set for five euros. Prominent Lorca entities and companies (Virgen Del Alcázar Hospital, Almenara Park, Alimer Foundation, Limusa, Carnicería José, Polish Restaurant, and Viña Dental Clinic) have joined the beneficial initiative as sponsors and collaborators.
The municipal folk race on December 31, known as «San Silvestre,» is also a major source of fundraising, as the economic amount from registrations is earmarked for the #Retosipudo team and its annual goal.
