It will take place on April 2nd at the Assembly Hall of the Cajamurcia Foundation, located on Pio XII Street, and will address issues such as wills, preventive powers, and living wills.

Mayor Mayte Martínez stated, «Lorca is a city that advocates for active aging. Therefore, we will continue to implement policies to strengthen the autonomy of our seniors and facilitate their access to specialized resources and advice.»

On March 26, 2025, Lorca Mayor’s advisor, Mayte Martínez, presented the discussion «Legal Tools in Aging Services,» aimed at the Lorca Bar Association.

During her speech, Mayte Martínez, accompanied by Pancemar Foundation President Luis Martínez, emphasized the need to provide the necessary tools to anticipate and ensure well-being at all stages. «From the Lorca government, we work closely with entities like the Pancemar Foundation to develop initiatives that enhance the quality of life for our elderly. We cannot allow their future to be a burden for them and must provide real and accessible solutions,» she said.

The conference, part of the Socol Project, will take place on April 2nd at the meeting room of the Cajamurcia Foundation, starting at 6:00 PM. Key issues to be discussed include estate planning through wills, providing support measures for future disabilities, and the importance of living wills to ensure the elderly are respected.

In this regard, Mayor Mayte Martínez reiterated that «Lorca is a city committed to active aging. Therefore, our government team will continue to promote policies to enhance the autonomy of our seniors and facilitate their access to specialized resources and advice.»

The Lorca Municipal Council maintains a close collaboration with the Pancemar Foundation, supporting initiatives like this that contribute to the socialization of the elderly. «Our commitment is clear: to ensure that no person in Lorca feels alone when facing the challenges of aging. This is only possible if we work together, institutions and civil society, to provide tailored responses to their needs,» Martínez concluded.
