Mubbla celebrates thirty years with three exhibitions on the history and art of Lorquino embroidery.

The Christ of the Prayer in the Garden, also celebrating 25 years, will be honored on White Day with a Eucharist at the Rosari Chapel.

March 24, 2025. Paso Alb celebrates the 30th anniversary of the White Paso Museum (Mubbla) this year, which opened its doors in 1995, becoming the first embroidery museum not only in the city but in all of Spain. To mark this anniversary, numerous Brotherhood activities will be held. This was announced on Monday by Heritage Councilor Belén Pérez and Paso Blanco President Ramón Mateos.

The first exhibition will be «Photographs by Pedro Javier Alcaraz,» on display at the Jardín Ruano Palace from March 27 to April 25. This free photographic exhibition will provide a unique insight into the beauty and history of Paso Blanco through the lens of the renowned photographer Pedro Javier Alcaraz.

The second exhibition, titled «The Three Happy,» will pay tribute to the Happy Family, who have been Artistic Directors of White Pass for different generations. This exhibition can be viewed at Mubbla and will feature the mantle created under the leadership of these three artists, grandfather, father, and nephew, in an extraordinary representation of the artistic evolution of the white passage.
The third of the exhibitions will be «small embroidered treasures: the mirror of justice» and will take place at Mubla, allowing the public to admire some of the smallest and most refined pieces in Lorquino embroidery, the true treasures of the tradition and the art of embroidery.

Ramón MaterOS stated that «the creation of Mubbla responded to the need to preserve, extend, and enhance the art of Lorquino embroidery, which is part of the cultural and religious identity of the City of the Sun since its opening, the Embroidery Museum of Lorquino and Holy Week.»
